A convincing second half performance saw Ballymahon record a win at the first attempt in this years division 2 campaign.
Ballymore got the ideal start with a well taken goal straight from the throw in, but Ballymahon responded well with some Colm Flynn scores. The sides exchange scores and midway through the half Ballymahon led 0-8 to 1-4 but Ballymore finished the half well and led 1-6 to 0-8 at the break.
Ballymahon dominated the second half with the platform set by Mark Lennon and Cian Cooney in midfield. Good scores from Colm Flynn and Kyle Fitzmaurice put Ballmahon in front. Ballymore were battling hard but with the gap at four points and Ballymahon scored their goal through Colm Flynn and added a few more points to put a convincing final score on the board.
